Since our barns are designed to be delivered fully assembled, the customer is responsible for site preparation, access to the site, and obtaining any necessary permits that may be required from municipal agencies. We can provide you a sketch drawing of the barn in order to get all the necessary permits. Site preparation: We recommend a level site for your building. The best way to acquire a level site is to spread 3"-4" of fine gravel or stone dust for your building site base. Even though our barns are built on 6"x6" pressure-treated skids in order to withstand many years of ground contact, we still recommend to have a gravel base to enhance the drainage around your building. Some townships require that the building be placed or anchored to a solid foundation (check with your municipal agency).
Site Access: In order not to delay the delivery of your barn, please make sure that your site is accessible on the day of delivery. You are responsible to provide a suitable prepared site and access to site over a solid driveway or across solid ground. You must provide clearance through any trees and plantings. Clearance needed: 16' wide, 14' high, 70' length for tractor and trailer. Wide sweep needed for 90º curves. Please note that the fence opening or the gate needs to be 12' wide for 10' wide buildings and 14' wide for 12' wide buildings (providing that the fence is not higher then 8'). For higher fences or gates add 2' extra.
